There are few things that I recommend to consume as a supplement. When I do, I usually recommend a short trial of about 30 days to help jumpstart lifestyle changes. After that, it’s better to wean off.
Lemon Balm is one of the few things I recommend. Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) is a lemon-scented herb that comes from the same family as mint. The herb is native to Europe, North Africa, and West Asia; however can also be found around the world.
Lemon balm is beneficial for:
– anxiety and stress
– sleep
– indigestion (my favorite for IBS patients)
- Use: 30 drops in warm water
- consume at night for 30 days while you are implementing dietary modifications
